1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how Radio by realmajed handles information when you visit the Radio website, use the Radio Discord Activity, or contact us. The website can be viewed without a Radio account; the Activity uses Discord sign-in. Discord, station operators, and other independent services have their own privacy practices.

2. Information we handle

Account and Activity: Discord account identifiers and profile details made available through sign-in, authentication tokens, and account settings.
Listening and contributions: station plays and listening history, favorites, custom station details, shared session activity, lyric reactions, and related feature data.
Technical data: device identifiers used for listening sessions, browser and request information, diagnostic events, and information in server or security logs.
Contact: your email address and the contents of messages you send us, including station removal or privacy requests.

The Activity stores some data on your device, including settings, a listening device ID, and cached Discord authentication details and tokens. Your browser or Discord may offer controls to clear that local data.

3. Why we use it

We use this information to sign you in, play and coordinate stations, save preferences and history, support custom stations and lyric features, produce aggregate usage statistics, diagnose faults, protect the service, respond to requests, and meet legal obligations. The Activity uses Plausible for page and feature analytics, including account identifiers in custom event properties, and Sentry for error reporting, which may include Discord profile identifiers and diagnostic details.

During normal playback, Radio redirects your player to a station stream, so your client connects directly to the station host. The host may receive your IP address and other standard connection information. Radio may separately contact stations to check streams and obtain metadata. Station directories and metadata providers may supply station or track information.

The website loads a Discord server widget and requests public statistics from Radio’s backend. Discord may receive information when its widget loads or when you open a Discord link. We also use hosting, database, analytics, and error reporting providers to operate Radio. These services may process information outside Australia; their locations can vary. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.

5. Storage, security, and retention

Account and feature information is stored in our service infrastructure; some settings and authentication details are stored locally on your device. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We keep information for as long as needed to provide Radio, deal with support and safety issues, and meet legal obligations. Retention may differ by data type; you can ask about or request deletion of your information using the contact below.

6. Your choices and requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you by emailing hello@realmajed.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required or permitted by law. You can also clear local Activity data through your browser or Discord settings, but doing so may sign you out or reset preferences. For data held by a station operator, Discord, or another independent provider, contact that provider directly.

We may update this policy as Radio changes. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Please check it for changes.
